This week I'd like to discuss past life regression, some of you may know I'm a hypnotherapist by day and writer of paranormal fiction by night. Many authors will tell you real life leaks into our stories and in this case some of that may be true. I have multiple stories about past life lovers being reunited and fated lovers finding each other.

Past life regression is a powerful coaching tool and I've personally seen many transformations using past life regression as a tool for healing. Despite the romanticizing of this topic in many media outlets it might surprise you that out of all the regressions I've done, none were of royalty or famous people. If you take in the odds it is highly probable that most past life regressions are of everyday people who suffered a grave injustice, failed to understand the life lesson they were there to address, or faced a traumatic experience (usually pertaining to death, but not always) which bleeds over into this lifetime through the subconscious.

When a client is regressed they are asked to ignore all the laws of time and space and go back to the first time this problem began. Sometimes they regress to a time in this life and other times they go back to a time in another life. That is when the hypnotist asks the client to cut all emotional ties to the experience and watch it play out in front of them, learn the lesson they may have missed and assess how and why this has bled over into this life.

In real life the regressions are looked at as learning lessons, moments in time where something stuck in the subconscious mind and carried over to this life. Same process as regressing into this lifetime only breaking the laws of time.

I've had clients regress to inside the womb, others into past lives, and still others to in between lives and while these would never appear in my stories of fiction I've used this tool as a plot point in a couple of stories. Check them out below.

Cassie and Gio were engaged in a previous life but Gio's father killed Cassie and Gio became a vampire. For centuries he searched for his reincarnated soulmate and finds her in Cassie. While one God tries to help reunite these star crossed lovers other Gods are trying to tear the town apart to gain access to the powerful nexus protected by the supernatural creatures of the small town.
